Heaven’s on Hold
Heaven’s on Hold looks at the awful strain put on a middle-years marriage by the arrival of a first baby. The mess, the sleepless nights, the realisation that your well-ordered life has gone for ever, and is no longer your own… All that’s hard enough to deal with in your twenties, but David and Annet are nearly twice that, used to their freedom and coping only with the demands of their careers.
This novel has elements of the psychological thriller, and there’s a supernatural strand, too, both of which were intriguing to write.
